When it comes to generating ideas to demonstrate your knowledge in order to position yourself as an expert, I found out that it can be a challenging process, and time and energy consuming. It is said that if you want to position yourself as an expert, you’d have to be able to talk about a niched topic in different ways, to have various approaches. I’m not sure what type of technology lies behind this tool, but you’ll see that the generated results can be similar even if you change the word around your topic. Nowadays, more than ever, women have the chance and opportunity to set free their brilliant ideas and turn them into creative businesses. Many of them are dreaming to fire their boss one day and start the entrepreneurial adventure, without asking themselves if they have what it necessary to succeed.

Believing or not being a successful female entrepreneur is not anymore about losing sleep or sacrificing your relationship or your family. As an entrepreneur, I’ve come to realize that building a successful business, it’s about being part of a new movement where women are able to redefine the rules of the game, creating them as they unfold their stories. That led to redefining what kind of success is available to all of us.

I remember a moment in my life when a good friend of mine was promoted first female manager in the history of the company she was working for. After six months she resigned, because she couldn’t handle the pressure. I felt that somehow she slowed us down years of progress and since then every time I was in the position of quitting, I remembered Maya’s Angelou words: I came as one, but I stand as 10000.”

It’s a great question and I think that everyone should ask from time to time these kind of questions, because it’s easier to learn from other people's mistakes. This way you will save a lot of time, money any resources.

It comes a time when you feel down or tired and you would love some inspiration or you just want to see a good movie. 

It's a natural state and it comes and goes. But when I feel that I spend too much time with this mixed of feelings, I search for a way to get back in my best mental and emotional shape. Throughout the years I've discovered that

It’s a good question because we see it every single day, everywhere, but this doesn’t mean that is the right question. “WHY” will lead you to justification answers and that will not lead into actions. The question should be if it’s necessary or not to make the comparison. In this case my answer is YES and NO.

I will start with the “NO”. You are unique, original and, above all, you are great. There always will be another person that is smarter, taller, more successful, more… than you are. So if you set yourself to compete with these people, you write for yourself a sure recipe to feel in many occasions frustrated. You cannot be someone else! YOU ARE YOU! So the right way is to compare yourself to yourself. That means that you have to build daily on your persona in order for you to become a better, smarter or richer person. If you choose to do so every day you’ll gain a huge amount of knowledge, skills and capabilities. A year has 365 days, so you have plenty of time to build yourself.

As I’ve said before… My answer is also “YES”, but not in the comparative way. Let me be more specific. Looking at other people’s characteristics, attributes, lifestyles, skills and traits it will give insights about who you want to become, how should you behave and what do you want to achieve. These people that you are comparing yourself with are your role models. Use them as your mentors. It’s important not to see where are they now, but to find out what they did to achieve their entrepreneurial success. And the best way to follow their footsteps is to take massive action.
